Dual Magnet Surface Dial Thermometer, 0°F to 500°F This instrument is designed to measure surface temperatures by adhering closely to ferrous materials such as steel. For accurate measurements, the thermometer should be used in still air. A flat, smooth surface will provide more accurate readings. Wait approximately 4 minutes for the temperature to stabilize.  The sensing element then contacts the surface of the bimetal element and results in dial readout. Features:
