The Passing of Mitch Davis

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Mitch Davis, on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the age of 59. He passed peacefully, surrounded by family and, fittingly, with his beloved dogs by his side.

Mitch joined Atlantic Supply in 2003 and was instrumental in shaping the company’s success, singlehandedly leading us into the material testing side of the business. More than a trusted professional, Mitch was a true friend – to his colleagues, his customers, and everyone he met. His humor, warmth, and larger-than-life personality made an unforgettable impact. He didn’t just serve customers; he built lifelong friendships. He made people feel valued, seen, and supported – both in business and in life.

Mitch’s generosity and kindness extended far beyond the workplace. A true advocate for learning, he encouraged and mentored many in the industry. One former customer recalled, “Mitch and Atlantic Supply supported me while at school at USF and working on my graduate degree and thesis. Mitch attended my thesis defense prior to graduating. Without Mitch, I wouldn’t have learned as much, and his support likely changed the course of my life.” That was who Mitch was – always lifting others up, always making a difference.

Outside of work, Mitch had a deep love for animals, and it was a reflection of his gentle and compassionate spirit that his final moments were spent in the company of his dogs. He was also a very talented artist and loved to draw comic book superheroes and anything special for his friends and family. When you look at Atlantic Supply’s company logo, you can think of Mitch because he designed it.

Mitch is survived by his devoted wife, Teri, and two daughters Amelia and Kayla as well as countless friends and colleagues whose lives he touched. His loss leaves an immeasurable void, but his legacy of friendship, laughter, and generosity will continue to inspire us all.

In honor of his love for animals, donations may be made in his memory to SPCA Suncoast.

Rest easy, Mitch. You were one of a kind, and you will be deeply missed. Right now, we are drawing you as our superhero and blasting Rush on our speakers.
