Atlantic Supply / Enterprise Florida Trade Mission – Mexico City

In late May of 2016, Atlantic Supply company president Carlos Licona traveled with other Florida business representatives and government officials to Mexico City as part of a trade mission with Enterprise Florida.  Enterprise Florida is an organization of businesses that seek to do business in foreign countries as well as attracting companies to open operations in Florida.  Carlos has participated in other Enterprise Florida Trade Missions such as one held last year in Panama.

During the trade mission in May, Carlos visited with representatives of various large construction firms in Mexico City to introduce them to what Atlantic Supply can provide.  Most construction firms in Mexico operate some type of construction materials testing laboratories (CMT) such as their counterparts in the United States.  Atlantic Supply provides practically everything that is needed for both laboratory and field CMT work so the meetings were very beneficial to both parties.

The distinct advantage for the potential clients is that Carlos is fluent in Spanish and he has done a great deal of business in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and other Central and South American countries.  Carlos was able to present his information in an effective and respectful manner which is important for not only the first meeting, but in doing business in the future.
