| Description |
The CPN AUTHORIZED NUCLEAR GAUGE OPERATOR TRAINING CLASS is a one-day program on the SAFE and LEGAL use of portable density and moisture gauges containing sealed source radioisotopes.
The class presents the following topics in easy to understand terms.
Principles of radiation safety and health physics
Principles of nuclear physics relating to moisture and density measurements
Licensing and compliance with regulatory requirements
Transportation and shipping
Field service and maintenance
Gauge operation and field practice
This class satisfies the training requirements of the NRC and Agreement States for the use of portable nuclear gauges used for construction and agricultural testing. A Certificate of Completion is given to each individual who successfully completes the class.
Lunch is included in the certification course fee, along with all necessary training materials. Materials in Spanish are also available. |
